More with the Faux Silk with Coffee Filters technique

These are quite addicting, turns out. I am in mass-produce-mode for craft fair season, making anywhere from 20-60 cards per day, so I had to make a couple of different kinds of cards with this fun technique. You can see the Faux Silk with Coffee Filters photo tutorial here. This first one was made with the Elements of Style stamp set. I colored right on the filter with my Stampin' Write markers, after stamping it in Basic Black.

The second one uses the Inspired by Nature stamp set, and I colored directly on the stamp with my markers and then stamped it on the filter. After I used the First Edition specialty DSP I decided to add some butterflies, since that's what the article is about! The sentiment comes from an upcoming set called Tea Shoppe, not available for purchase yet.

My lighting is poor–wish you could see these cards in person and see the sparkle on the rose card and the pop of Pear Pizzaz on the coneflower one. You'll just have to come to one of my craft fairs this fall! The first one is coming right up at Maranatha College on November 5th, 2011, from ten to four. You can't miss my booths–I have been with this fair since it started and they always give me the two just inside the front door. Hope to see you there!
