June Scrap A Stack spreads

Finally got pictures taken of the projects from my last Scrap a Stack Club. We're into our summer session now, so call me if you want to join in the hostess rotation and earn free products while learning fun new ways to scrapbook using your card-making supplies, the Big Shot, and stamps and ink!

For this fun summery spread, we learned to make an origami Hawaiian shirt and some punch-art flip flops (punch two Wide Ovals and then shave off the long sides with your scissors). We also used the Write Stuff specialty DSP pack and personalized the punch-out journaling boxes from that with stamps from the Tropical Party set out of the Summer Mini Catalog. A quick and breezy page for chronicling anything from a cruise to a backyard luau.

For our single-page layout this month, we made a "sweet" friend page with a totally fun combination of Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry with just a dash of the retiring Green Galore thrown in. It would make a very cool Halloween color combo, but nothing about this page is scary!

The only sad part is, we are saying goodbye to the Felt Fusions flowers that I have loved so much these past three years. I will miss those! They come in Rose Red, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie and I just had more fun with those. I even decorated a purse with them! They're on the Last Chance list and still available as of the last update, so do NOT delay–order these babies right away at my shopping website, www.lyssa.stampinup.net.

And the final spread was one I have seriously had in the works for like four months or more. It just never came together. But since it featured One of A Kind, a stamp set that's retiring June 30th, I had to make it work for this month or lose it altogether for my demonstration purposes. I love the color combination of Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, and Basic Black. what really makes this page pop, though, is the white gel pen detailing on the black flowers. Gotta try it!

In a fun side note, it shows off most of our types of ribbon–satin, held with a cute 1/2 inch Library Clip; taffeta, in a bow (on the new huge scallop circle punch!!!); narrow grosgrain knots on the journalling space; and polka dotted grosgrain across one supporting photo mat.

So that was SAS Club in June! Join us on July 8th for our next club… RSVP by July 5th either as a club member or come once as a guest to see if we're a good fit for you!
