Easy Faux Linen-look Technique

IMG_3687

I have been busy this week, mass-producing this cardfront as a swap sample for the WI Stampers Regional Conference this Saturday. In hindsight, I should have picked a design that required less stamping! My poor arm!

I have been dreaming of my upcoming cruise–less than a month away!!– and the color scheme was inspired by that. I started with Tempting Turquoise embossing, then Tangerine Tango embossing, then Basic Black and Pacific Point stamping, and then finished it off with stamping a cross-hatch pattern in Tempting Turquoise, to get the linen look.

The stamp I used for the linen look is from Gorgeous Grunge, probably my all-time favorite from the current catalog. The sentiment came from the photopolymer set Another Thank You, and the flowers were from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets.
