Dripping Pearls embellishment technique

Made somethin' pretty in the stamp room today and of course I had to share it with you all right away! I call this the Dripping Pearls technique and it's super easy to do with Stampin' Up's ready-made, self-adhesive strings of pearl half-beads. As in, you just trim them to the size you want, lay them down, and press to adhere! Dripping pearls cards

I used one full string and one string cut in uneven halves, to get the look on this particular card. It's important to have all three strings end at different heights. Ain't it pretty?? Can't wait to try it out on other styles of card.

Suggested Color Combination:

While I had all the materials out, I made a couple more cards with the same color scheme. So here's some additional ideas for the same basic supplies!

Pretty spiffy, eh? The bold color scheme is carried off with the bold patterns and stark layouts. You don't want to use tiny patterns and super-detailed layouts for a card that has such an instant visual ka-pow! I hope you'll give the Dripping Pearls embellishment technique a try at home. If you need any supplies, here's a complete list!
