We cardmakers have a saying: "never send a naked envelope!"
Kinda goofy that we spend so much time on the card itself and then send it in the equivalent of an anonymous manila folder, you know? Envelopes are a blank canvas for creativity!
I don't always remember to stamp the envelope to match, so I usually keep a couple of appropriate stamps at the ready that I can just grab and ink up in a color that will coordinate with whatever card I am sending. Here's some samples of what has been going out of my house lately!

Naturally, it's mostly been stacks and STACKS of Christmas cards this month, but I've also sent a lot of everyday love using a cute new upcoming stamp set called Snailed It! The images are from an adorable "snail mail" themed suite in the new 2021 Spring mini catalog. Can't wait to show it all off in January!
I hope you're inspired all over again to stamp some pretty envelopes. I have so many stamps, and this is a way to give more of them some love even if I didn't use them on the cards themselves. And it sends a fun message that there is something amazing in that envelope! Plus, I like to think it makes the postal worker smile, too.
Handmade cards bring joy many times over. And even the envelopes bring anticipation! DIY cardmaking for the win!
