Welcome to Day 30 of our series! One more day and we’re done for the year–WOW! I can’t wait to tally up my final page count.
Today was a good day to work with bright yellow and a cheerful layout. I’ve been missing my little guinea pig Dash so much! He was such a funny grumpy old man and so cuddly. His favorite place to be was asleep under my chin inside my shirt. He passed this weekend from old age, his fur wet with many tears! I don’t know how they do it, but those furry friends sure make their way right into your heart and break it, don’t they? Yet somehow they are so worth it even knowing the heartbreak is inevitable.

So, yes, craft room therapy was in order! Crushed Curry and Lemon Lolly are good colors to chase away the sads. I don’t have a plan for today’s layout, so I left it with a general title that will be useful for any outdoor or happy occasion. I just needed to work with color and put my mind in neutral for a while.

I’ll leave you today with pictures of the little buddy we called our basil monster. He would sit on the front porch and nibble his way around the bases of the herb garden pots! That will be a fun scrapbook page someday!
