Cardmaking Club in Watertown, WI

I love gathering with my stampy friends once a month and making cards! For many years now I’ve run Calendar Club January-June and Christmas Club August through November. Some of these ladies have seen my kids back when they were still in footie pajamas (they’re in college now!!) when we used to cram inside my living room. Over the years we’ve grown to meet in cafeterias, churches and community rooms, and now we’re blissfully at home at Embellish on South Fourth Street in Watertown, WI.

I thought you might enjoy seeing the four designs we made at a recent club (like this Sentimental Park one above), to give you an idea of what we do! Let me know if I can save a spot for you to come and visit and see if you’d like to join us. We meet on the third Monday (6:30 p.m.), Tuesday (6:30 p.m.) and Wednesday (1:30 p.m.) of the month year round except July and December.

Masculine cards are not always easy for people to make, so I always try to have a guy card or something without a lot of flowers and fuss. This Ready to Ride fancy fold card was popular!

The goal of Calendar Club is to fill your card box with ones you can just grab as needed, so we make everything from sympathy to new baby, graduation to get well, and happy retirement to happy birthday over the course of six months.

When I design the cards, I always leave room for people to change out the sentiment to meet whatever they need coming up on the calendar. This Around the Bend one would be for wedding, anniversary, or engagement!

I loved the simple elegance of this design so much I chose it for my sample swap card for the Stampin’ Up trip to Norway. It accidentally got left off the display boards, so you won’t have seen any pictures of it floating around, but I hope the 26 demonstrators who did see my card thought it was pretty, too!!!

This Stamped with Love one was my favorite that month! It’s so simple and perfect for any occasion. It’s fun coming up with a variety of designs for everyone to make together. Some copy them closely, and others improvise! We always have a great time. I hope you will think about joining us if you live close enough!
