Brrr! Fall is coming!

DSCF5349 copy

I don't know how it is where you live, but fall arrived with a vengeance on September 1st here in southern Wisconsin. We dropped about thirty degrees from the week before, and got very rainy and windy. No frost yet, but the trees are starting to yellow and brown… I have a feeling we're going to have a short, quick fall!

Too bad, because it's my favorite season of all and I love to stretch it out. Fall cards are my very favorite ones to make because of the intensity and compelling-ness of the colors. I think I just invented that word! So the card, planned for my stamp camp this Saturday, uses Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Early Espresso, for a very sophisticated autumn feel. I kept it pretty simple because all the cards are supposed to be able to be finished in ten minutes each, if you recall.

I've done this card before, in Christmas colors, and here's a link to the photo tutorial to show you how to make the wreath of berries and twigs. It's made with the Autumn Days stamp set and it's so easy! Just love the clean, modern take on an old "country'-style favorite image.
