Recently I held a sympathy and serious illness cardmaking class, and I wanted to share some of the designs with you in case you’re in need of the same type of cards. I like to keep my sympathy messages simple and nature-themed, as nature is always so comforting and safe.
Beautifully Celebrated is a wedding themed stamp set, but the images are timeless and worked together perfectly for this card. You can make it at home with a few quick tips!
- Stamp the largest leafy image first, in Night of Navy ink. Use a Blender Pen to add a little bluish tinge. Use Crumb Cake ink to add a little beige tinge to some of the leaves.
- Stamp the smaller leaf image twice, in Crumb Cake ink. Use the Blender Pen to add some brownish color.
- Stamp the baby’s breath image in Balmy Blue ink.
- Stamp a little ink spatter in Crumb Cake to pull it all together.
- Add your sentiment in Night of Navy ink. From: Prayers & Promises stamp set
- Also used: Everyday Arches dies, Linen Thread, Clear Sparkle Gems

While I had all the supplies out, I also made this everyday thank you card with all the same tools and techniques. I added another die-cut from the set, and used the gold metallic run-on transfers to create a little sparkle in the corner. I like how it came out!
