Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days, my annual immersion scrapbooking challenge! For the next month I challenge you to get out your crafting goodies and MAKE THE MESS without guilt! Leave it out on the table and work on it every day whenever you get a minute to two.
Even 10 minutes can get you set up with colors and patterns picked, and then the next ten minutes you can cut mats and build the layout… another 10 minutes can get the headline and embellishments on!
Today’s inspiration layout has a secret! If you don’t recognize the papers from the Stampin’ Up catalog, well, that just might be because they’re from one of our exclusive kits! As a Paper Pumpkin subscriber I have the ability to order kits and refills from past months whenever I want (as long as supplies last!) I pounced on this masculine card kit right away because I wanted it for scrapbooking!
To adapt the kit for scrapping, I cut apart the card bases to use for photo mats, then separated the rest of the layers and die-cut pieces into two groups (tomorrow’s page uses the rest of the kit!) All I had to do was add the 12×12 background pages and a headline! Nice!
Now that you know my secret way to get page elements and themes from old kits, does it make you look at the current kits differently? It sure does for me! Click here to see our Kits Collection and our Past Paper Pumpkins categories in the online store.
That’s it from me today! Funny, I started 31 Pages in 31 Days in August because it was such a slow month for me. Now August is my busiest month of the whole year. Daniel is gearing up for his final senior year and Natalie is starting her junior year. Lots to do! See you back here tomorrow for Day 9’s layout inspiration.
