31 Pages in 31 Days: Patchwork Noel

Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days! Aren’t you just soaking up all the scrapping ideas this month? I love August! Thanks for making Embellish a stop on your digital inspiration journey! Please share with your friends.

Today we’re making Christmas pages in Scrapbooking Summer School class, and I’m sharing how to make use of this easy quilt square look for any season. It’s a really good one for using up small pieces of leftover patterned paper AND for showing off your coordinating paper stacks.

My favorite part of this design is that the large and skinny mats in the middle area are just two sheets of 8.5×11 cardstock with a 2.5 inch strip cut off the bottom. Mix the bottom of one color with the top of the other and that’s ALL there is to it!

And it’s another layout that can be turned on its side and the design still works! I love learning easy layouts like that.

I rarely use non-Stampin’ Up stuff in my scrapbooking, because that’s what my craft room is full of for cardmaking, but you’ll be noticing a lot of e-cutter headlines on the next week’s pages. It’s just easier to use my Brother Scan n’ Cut when I make the Scrapbooking Summer School packets for class every year. There are 30 participants this year so even that took forever to do! It was a labor of love for sure.

Thanks for visiting today! See you tomorrow for Day Seven. Can’t believe we’ve already been at this challenge a whole week! Are you getting lots done??! Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. Hi Lyssa, Debbie Koch here. I’ve done some of your Scrapbooking Summer School. I’m sorry to be missing this one. When do you advertise for it? I’ll keep an eye out for next year. Have a blessed day!
