31 Pages in 31 Days: high school memories

Hello friends! Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days, my annual month-long scrapbooking challenge! We’re officially halfway through as of today, can you believe it?

Today’s inspiration page is all about high school, playing up the school supplies theme with some notebook-lined paper and a collage look. My Scrapbooking Summer School attendees are making this layout with me live today–fun! We’ll be talking about how to “create” a full 12×12 base page from strips of random papers. It’s a great way to use up partial 12×12 and little strips of scrap.

  • Colors: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pebbled Path and Fresh Freesia
  • Papers: Delightfully Eclectic 12×12

This page is pretty girly, but if you flip the patterned floral paper over it’s got a completely different look! For a guy-themed page, I’d save the floral die-cut for a card somewhere down the road, and swap in a more masculine-looking headline.

That’s it from me today! We’ve got less than two weeks now before uni starts back up again here and there’s tons of shopping to do. It will be Natalie’s first year in the dorm so she is busy choosing decor and organizers. Dan outgrew all his clothes from last year–he’s so tall and broad shouldered all of a sudden! and they both need new shoes. What an exciting, busy time of life the Zwolaneks are in right now! I hope I can keep up!

See you tomorrow for Day Sixteen!
