31 Pages in 31 Days: engagement layout

Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days! Aren’t you just soaking up all the scrapping ideas this month? I love August! Thanks for making Embellish a stop on your digital inspiration journey! Please share with your friends.

We’re already on Day Six and ready for our first giveaway! I have three assortment packs of Delightfully Eclectic papers to give away to the next three people to place a Stampin’ Up order through me. WOW! I used these papers for Scrapbooking Summer School this year, so you’ll have tons of ideas for those patterns this month. Here’s the code to participate in the giveaway this week: 7 B 4 M T T 6 J

In fact, this pretty heart paper came from the Delightfully Eclectic pack! Today’s super-sweet layout celebrates an engagement.

The design is versatile because the main photo of the couple (large Lemon Lolly yellow mat on the right hand side) can be turned vertically or horizontally, as needed. The smaller photo mats work for close ups of the ring, holding hands, kiss, etc, and there’s a big journalling space for the engagement story as well.

  • Colors: Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Lemon Lolly, Smoky Slate
  • Papers: Delightfully Eclectic 12×12 pack

One fun thing I did to this paper was color a bunch of the hearts with subtle shades of Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia and Petal Pink. It was fun to add colors to the patterned paper to make it coordinate even better with my scheme. Sometimes I add a stripe with a marker and ruler, or even stamp on the patterned papers, to bring in another color I want to match. Quick and effective!

Thanks for visiting today! See you tomorrow for Day Seven. Can’t believe we’ve already been at this challenge a whole week!
