Day Five’s inspiration page is all about the 80’s!! I will admit I owned some neon clothing, decorated my own canvas shoes with puff paint, bought a couple of rad slap bracelets, and “pegged” my pant cuffs!
I never layered my socks though, and I really didn’t get the hang of poufing my bangs up as big as I wanted, thankfully…
It’s a fun theme for a party –and a great topic to scrapbook, with iconic colors and images easily evoking the era.
I started with a piece of torn-paper-look Masterfully Made patterned paper in Lemon Lime Twist and half a sheet of the new holographic paper in silver, mixing textures and geometric shapes with some sequins and rhinestones for that unapologetically fun 80’s casual.
- Colors: Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Basic White
- Papers: Masterfully Made 12×12, Holographic Trio specialty paper, Parakeet Party ombre glimmer
- Stamps & Ink: Notable Alphabet (retired) and Tahitian Tide
Are you enjoying yourself this month on the blog? I hope so! I love scrapbooking “with” you all! I hope you’re taking the challenge to let yourself make the mess and take the time. Just for a limited time period, go ahead and scrapbook all you want without guilt.
At the end of the month or week or whatever amount of time you think you can manage, clean it all up, stack up those finished pages in a big pile, and be proud of yourself!
See you tomorrow for more inspiration pages on Day 6 as we leave the 80’s behind for some sweet 90’s era florals. Don’t forget the BEST WAY to not miss a single part of this series is to subscribe to the blog and get one free daily email with the posts.
